Barbeque

Since I got 4th of July off I headed down to Santa Ana ASAP after a great day with D, how many times do I need to tell everybody that she is the best. She makes my days. Even though she was a bad girl the day before she's just wonderful, super special, mature and soo unbelievable. I found myself realize how creative she is, she's singing all the time which makes you get used to it, but that day (Thursday), I really listened and understood that she, a six year old girl, makes up these incredible lyrics. They're rhyming, they have a read thread and they're inspired of all impressions with an amazing combination of words I didn't even know she'd heard. Her fantasy is beyond everything.

So anyways Thursday, I got off, stressed, ran, waited for the bus and finally raced up to the train track and got there 5.10pm, exactly when the train was supposed to leave to recieve the information of that the train was delayed. My hostma called, there had been an accident and people had got hurt. Next train was going to be first 5.45pm, then 6.30pm and then they put 7pm. And tons of people. But who's not such an angel? Daniel comes and picks me up and I get away from the train station, so appreciated. So we went down to his condo, took showers and then headed a barbeque at Jason place. Such a good time or some little drama, but maybe that's what we need sometimes? We stayed over night, went to Josh's and Jessie's and picked Josh up, went to Danny's and then to a fourth of July church fair with Danny's dad and his wife. Then we headed back to Josh's for forth of July Jippi. A long day of party, chilling out, more alcohol, fireworks, another party, drama, coach, Danny's, wake up, hanging out at Josh's again.

Newport is soo nice, but when you're really there, with people who lives there you get to now the bad sides too - it's not always the dream...as long as you're not super rich. So hard to afford the living. It's hard to tell how bad everything in California everything is for millions of people right now.

Crazy times

My updating is not the best folks..

However, I really want everybody to know that I'm doing well. I'm diving deeper into my life here, I guess that's stupid but for every day now I get more attached to everything here and sometimes it's hard, super hard to find a reason for leaving. I have a great life here with job, "family", Danny, things to do, gym membership, bank account, phone, an adress and so on. I like it, I love it. It wouldn't be too hard to find a job either.. what's back home?

I know what's back home. My dear family, my wonderful friends, a nice and clean city, lovely beautiful Stockholm, my phone, my bank account, my beloved World Class membership, job at a cruise ship, studies and my home.

I really want both, I want to stay with Daniel - or honey, can I bring you with me? I have my home here, I have my home in Stockholm and my plan is to move to Finland for six years. Am I crazy or what, at least I will be. Hanna give me advice, how's home home? How do I deal with it?

Soccercamp and pool

D has now summerbreak (equals more work for me) but at the same time slower days, sleep ins and time to cook. Anyways, this week Sarah left the house and will be gone for the whole summer, D has soccercamp 9-12 (some time by myself) and today we spent three hours in the pool so now I'm exhausted. Homemade pizza didn't come out too good so D had Swedish pancakes twice instead...

Love you all - Miss you my sister back home, you're the cutest girl

My love and I <3

Is it fair that love must have an expiration date?

It was still the times when Hanna and Evelina was here, when we first met. We were at a party down in Orange county. Remember when I wrote about it? Jennifer was with us as well as Traci. And all the guys. Such a party by drunk people and we were "The Swedish girls". For me that was just a party. For Hanna - haha that's taboo, for Traci a success, for Jennifer a kick-off for her au-pair year and so Evelina - super drunk. Nothing special for me.

Anyways, Jennifer stays in touch with "The one" and a couple of weeks later, after my dear Swedish OC girls left; Jennifer, Mikaela and I went down to Spectrum, Irvine. Down there we got invited to a party/chill out. We went, we drank, we played card games, we socialized, some of the group went out and afterwards we went to bed. It wasn't until that time the first vibe showed up. Chemistry, Fortune, Love?

Well, even though the vibes I didn't think much further until the week of crazy, very different life on Hawaii. Something inside me just said "You want him". I really did. I wanted him. I wanted Danny. I wanted you honey. At that point, straight. Just felt right. Almost right after I came home, actually just two days after, I'm with you. I'm happy. I knew what I wanted. Or even better I felt what we both wanted. So well after that weekend I haven't had much time for anything else than waiting for the next weekend. So the second weekend after Hawaii was a weekend of joy, of disappoinment, tears, anger, drama, other people, confusion and so on. After a sad movie-like bye bye kiss before I got on the train the very last minute before the doors closed we didn't know anything. Where we had each other, what we felt, what we wanted or if we were going to meet again. But what is stronger than two human magnets, two souls - two humans who both like the other? Two pieces which match.

So the love stays, we talk, we apologize and we meet again. So this weekend we made some tacos in the Swedish way, all Swedes you know what I mean ;) and so on Sunday we went on a double date to San Diego Zoo, so rewarding :) I had a lovely day - Thank you Jessie, Jason and Danny :) I hope it will be more of weekends like that before August!

So right now I'm having a great calm week but you're in my thoughts constantly and I just want fly down to you and be there - not let you be alone. For right now, we do need each other sweetie :) <3

Afterwards we went for a walk and then we had a sleepover at my place. The next morning we packed lunch boxes and went to Malibu. A great day laying on the beach reading my book "Kidnapped" by Danielle Steel, a ice-cream "shake" and then a great concert @ Malibu Inn. Both Jamie Meyer and The Calling were awesome! On our way back we stopped by Taco Bell so the girls could try it out. All of us were very satisfied. Me myself took a little spicy chicken burrito -soo good! Loved it! Well well that was that day!

Sunday morning I started the morning with some yoga (love love that class) and then the whole family (except S) and I went to this very very hot host family picnic @ Autry National Center Picnic Area (Griffith Park) where from I went to Emma's house. So gigantic big even though it was not ready yet. We hanged out with her hostfamily (Emma, Emma, A german girl and I) all afternoon in the pool. Tanning, playing, volleyball and swim meets. Exhausted we went for a dinner @ Soupplantation - great! So nice being with Emma again!

Venice beach

Spontanious beach going is actually possible weekdays even though you're working - good homemade lunch á la Mikaela and Cold stone for dessert :) Some storytelling, beachwalk and burned backs did also go hand in hand.

Happy birthday Jonna!

So perfect timing - you should really go out and celebrate you 21st birthday here in Caifornia. If you go to a Cheesecake Factory (restaurant) and tell them that it's your birthday they will celebrate you!

Lunch with Andrea

Today I went to (I don't even need to tell you) with one girl who has been in my au-pair group all since I came here but never really spent time with. She was very nice and I enjoyed her and "her baby's" company. Then we walked to the Grove and (you never get surprised of how small LA is) we met three other au-pairs we know..Larissa, Chio and Ari.

Congratulations Jonna!

I just wanted to announce that I'm so proud of my friend Jonna who got her driver's license today. On her first try! What a feeling...

Name day

I got sooo happy yesterday when I got some beautiful Congratulations cards from my mom and grandma :) and today I got the best present for right now - Candy King candy (Karamellkungen) even though the amount was not that big I can't tell how much I enjoyed it and that is was enough :-) I eat so superhealthy here that I can't do the same amounts as I did back home anymore.. :) But it still taste soo good!!

Thank you - I love you my older Anna-Liisas :-)

Lunch and playdate

Spontanious meetings can be very interesting. Today's was on the earth, random and nice. Thank you Daniel for the great company, good choice of Mexican restaurant and the walk around Santa Monica just hanging out, talking about the life in general and in order to Los Angeles.

A day with M & J

9.00 AM Brunch á la Soupplantatiom
11.00 AM Yoga @ LA Fitness
Afternoon Santa Monica, Candy shop and Hooters lunch
Later afternoon Venice beach and Cold stone
Evening chill in my room
Night Jamie Meyer at "The house of Blues" such a cool place

A supergirly and very good day...You girls are awesome! I have so much fun with you guys and my abs are in soar after all laughing!

A calm Saturday

Saturday was just about going to the gym for some pilates and then I was just hanging out all they without doing anything particular than a long walk. Then it was a little bit more babysitting at night time.

Hard time

Right now D and her classmates seems to be in that bad part of being a six year old. They are starting to understand more, trying more, getting themselves in trouble and the parents starts with real punishments. For right now I have to figure out some tools for what to do when D is behaving/doing things inappropriate. I have to force her mum to help me because I'm not the parent, I'm just her au-pair. I don't accept her attitude sometimes neither her aggressive attacks but to handle the situation in the idealistic way is not always easy. You can't just scream nor spank  - you have to be more proffesional these days.

It's crazy that six year olds in different ways - from kid to kid (by stories I've heard from other mums) can act such as teenagers. They haven't even started first grade. They say Mean stuff, they have a "I don't care", "however" and "come on" attitude. Their especially D's mood can go from a 10 minutes speech of how much she loves me and appreciates me to the other moment scream that I have to be fired...
