The bad truth exists
.. but sometimes you don't have to focus on it. I don't mean that you should ignore or so, more pick it up, think about it and pack it in your back pack.
So the differences for the bad was:
* The military was in Tijuana because it has been messy
* We saw a police man who beated a guy
* A woman in front of us at the border got hand cluffs for some reason
* The police men were walking around heavy weapon
* We saw lots of prostitutes
* There was kids standing alone on the street begging for money
* They had annoying whistles at the night clubs (maybe it was smart, but I didn't like it)
* The food is completely unhealthy (fat, sugar and dirty water) so that's why many Mexicans has weight issues
* They don't take credit cards at many places, they try to trick you and they want to give change in pesos
* If you pass a "mercado" they most probably say: - Come into my store combined with compliments, very annoying after a while
* They force you to take their help so they can get some tip. For example by giving you directions and so on. There was also this woman we met when we first got there who said the strangest thing. " I have a little second hand store over here, we have free sodas all they but I'm still worth $2 just for showing the store"
* Although we felt safe anytime, everywhere I don't recommend anyone going there neither alone or just a couple of girls, not even a couple of boys and you should have someone with you who speaks Spanish. Our group was perfect. One who spoke Spanish fluently, two with some Spanish skills, another with sense for directions and we looked like to couples. So the guys didn't get bothered of the prostitutes and we girls escaped the "annoying compliments"
